Tibeb.Space is a meaning-driven design practice that crafts joyful living environments and engaging community spaces. Established in Seattle by architect Alemseged Bishu, we deliver residential, commercial, and civic projects with a boots-on-the-ground approach and sensitivity to the broader issues of place and identity.

Our design ethos stems from the Amharic word tibeb, meaning wisdom of the applicable craft. We approach architecture as first and foremost a craft where knowledge is embodied through its practical application. With an expertise in housing design and adaptability to the locale, we offer creative responses for improved urban livability, remixing of the old with new, and forming deeper connections to the natural landscape of the Pacific Northwest.

Tibeb.Space is a full-service architecture firm that is MBE-certified in Washington State and licensed to practice in both New York State and Washington State.
